Mexico approves new accreditation body
The General Bureau of Standards (DGN, in Spanish) approved on May 6th, Mexicana de Acreditación (MAAC, A.C.) as a new accreditation body. Until 2020, and for 21 years, the Mexican Accreditation Body (Entidad Mexicana de Acreditación, EMA) was the only authorized accreditation entity in the country.

Zweite Jahressitzung der Deutsch-Mexikanischen Arbeitsgruppe Qualitätsinfrastruktur
Mehr als 60 Vertreterinnen und Vertreter aus Politik und Wirtschaft nahmen am 10. Oktober an der zweiten Jahressitzung des deutsch-mexikanischen Dialogs zur Qualitätsinfrastruktur in León, Guanajuato, Mexiko teil. Das Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Energie (BMWi) und das mexikanische Wirtschaftsministerium (Secretaría de Economía, SE) unterzeichneten einen gemeinsamen Arbeitsplan für die Bereiche Normung, Akkreditierung und Konformitätsbewertung sowie Produktsicherheit und Marktüberwachung.
